Medical Functions: | - Inhibits release of serotonin: The active ingredients sesquinterpene lactones (including parthenolide) inhibit the release of the hormone serotonin from platelets. The releasing of serotonin in turn triggers the release of histamine, which expands the blood vessels and triggers migraines.
- Suppresses the production of prostaglandins which causes inflammation.
- Parthenolide, the main component in Feverfew, kills human leukemia stem cells
- 白菊內脂﹕防止血小板過度 結集、阻止血清素分泌﹐進而阻止組織胺之分泌。(組織胺之分泌能使得血管膨脹發炎而產生頭痛)。
