Herbal formulae for impotence

Diagnostics and Therapy

The Heart and Spleen Channels Weakened from Over Work

Clinical symptoms

Impotence, tired, lack of energy, pale complexion, insomnia, palpitations, lack of appetite, pale tongue with thin moss,

weak pulse.

Formula 1: gui pi tang with added items (source: ji sheng fang)

dang shen 15 g, huang qi 30 g, bai zhu 30, fu shen 30 g, suan zao ren 30 g, gui yuan rou 30 g, mu xiang 15 g,

zhi gan cao 8 g, dang gui 3 g, yuan zhi 3 g, sheng jiang 6 g, da zao 6 g

add: xian ling pi 30 g, tu si zi 30 g. Make into pills with

cooked honey. Take 15 g each time,3 times a day with

drinking water.

Or use

Formula 2: qi fu yin (source: Jin Yue Quan Shu)

ren shen 6 g, shu di huang 9 g,  dang gui 9 g,  bai zhu 6 g,  zhi gan cao 3 g, suan zao ren 6 g, yuan zhi 1 g

add: tu si zi 12 g, bu gu zhi 12 g, sheng jiang 3 to 5 slices.

Boil with water. One prescription a day, make into 2 servings.

To be taken with before meals.

shenxu (kidney channel deficiency) 腎虚陽萎

ming men lacks fire 命門火 衰

3.

heart and spleen (meridians) weakened from over work 勞損心脾

4.

emotional injuries 情 绪損傷

5.

damp heat settlement 濕熱下注

6.

liver qi stagnation (depression) 肝氣鬱 結

7.

Clot blood obstruction 血淤阻礙

8

shenyinxu (kidney yin deficiency) 腎陰虚
